Emerson ROC/FloBoss
Emerson ROC/FloBoss, a model of a Remote Operations Controller (ROC), is an Electronic Flow Monitoring (EFM) device that works to keep track of flow data at remote sites in the field of industrial automation. EFM devices work to measure data — including oil and gas measurements from lines for billing purposes.
This device works with the AUTOSOL Communication Manager® (ACM) OPC server to deliver customers raw data to be used in liquid management accounting software programs such as Quorum’s FLOWCAL or send to a database. When paired with ACM, the two devices can deliver the most valuable field data to its final destination for analysis.
ACM and Emerson ROC/FloBoss
ACM operates by speaking to protocols such as Emerson ROC/FloBoss in its native protocol for the completion of the most vital operations. In an ever-changing automation industry, ACM works to pair with protocols and its devices to ensure your legacy devices are still functional for years to come. With our leading software products and hardware equipment you will be able to transmit and receive data with your Emerson ROC/FloBoss as well as all other SCADA devices.
eACM and Emerson ROC/FloBoss
eACM pushes data collection for real-time and EFM data to the edge for Emerson ROC/FloBoss protocols in IIoT applications. eACM collects the data from ROC devices, encapsulates the data into MQTT Sparkplug B and transmits to a MQTT Sparkplug B broker. EFM data is transmitted to ACM to be used in Quorum’s Flow-Cal or to send to a database.
AUTOSOL Communication Manager (ACM) extends companies’ SCADA systems abilities
For more than 35 years, AUTOSOL has been building custom drivers to ensure the efficient and reliable transfer of commands, programs, data and information between control systems and endpoint SCADA devices like PLCs. ACM speaks to devices in their native protocols to enable communication between incompatible devices, making it easy to add devices, including Emerson ROC/FloBoss, to a SCADA system and ensuring information is consistently being communicated.
Because ACM isn’t dedicated to one specific protocol, Emerson ROC/FloBoss devices are able to interact. Companies will reap the benefits the Emerson ROC/FloBoss offers while saving costs associated with having to update an entire SCADA system to devices that speak the protocol.
Combining the flexibility of AUTOSOL’s ACM and custom drivers means companies are not obligated to construct and update a SCADA system with one brand and its protocols. As a leader in the industry, AUTOSOL takes communication between devices seriously. With our leading products and equipment, your Emerson ROC/FloBoss will be able to transmit and receive data from all other SCADA devices.
