Quality Assurance Analyst (QA)

AUTOSOL is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to join a team that is responsible for testing multiple products. This person must be detail oriented and flexible as they will be supporting a large team of developers. Application(s) being tested will include both Windows-based applications and Linux-based applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with development teams, support teams and end users to test new feature and bug fixes.
  • Report issues and defects for review, including detailed documentation for reproducing the issue.
  • Follow existing processes to ensure traceability from business requirements and technical specifications to test conditions.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases based on current application functionality.
  • Analyze data in order to find areas for software and process improvements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of quality assurance experience in a professional work environment.
  • Highly organized with excellent analytics and problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with methods and tools for performing the following:
    • Functional testing
    • Regression testing
    • Performance testing
    • Integration testing
    • Scalability testing
    • Stress testing
  • This person will not be writing code on a day to day basis; however they may write automated tests in C++, C# or Python.
  • Experience with databases and Microsoft SQL Server is a plus.
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira is a plus.

Location

Houston, Texas in-person preferred.
