AUTOSOL Shows Good Taste Sponsoring The Periwinkle Foundation’s Iron Sommelier

Money raised at wine event for charity supports children and their families battling cancer

AUTOSOL is proud to announce it is the presenting sponsor for the 11th Annual Iron Sommelier, benefiting The Periwinkle Foundation on Nov. 8, 2018. The event will be held from 6-10 p.m. at The Houstonian Hotel, where some of the city’s most dynamic sommeliers compete for the highly coveted title of Iron Sommelier. Guests taste, compare and vote for their favorite wines and presentations from participating local sommeliers.

The event, which hosts around 600 attendees, ultimately benefits the kids at Texas Children’s Hospital as they take on their battle with cancer and other life-threatening challenges. Last year’s Iron Sommelier event raised almost $300,000 for the foundation.

Periwinkle’s programs serve more than 14,000 children and their families annually. It provides multiple camps and other events which offers a break from their hospital routine, as well as meeting other children in their same situation – and just to feel like a kid again.

“The Periwinkle Foundation does a tremendous job uplifting these kids as they go through their tough situation of fighting cancer. The camps support not only the children, but also their siblings and parents,” said Doug Osburn, President and CEO of AUTOSOL. “We’re so excited to collaborate with the Periwinkle team for such a meaningful cause.”
